I named this print Vera because, when I look at it, I can almost hear the voice of Vera Lynn. It evokes a sense of domestic comfort and nostalgia for a bygone era. Created using Risograph printing—a technique often described as 'digital screen printing'—this process utilizes a machine that resembles a standard office copier but operates in a completely unique way. Known for its richly layered, transparent colors, Risograph printing builds images two colors at a time, resulting in a distinctive, vibrant quality.
