Freesias (Edition Variable of 2)

This is one of three large Lino Prints that were the stars of my MA show. They were hand-printed on a beautiful old Albion Press using oil-based inks. The background colours were printed first, then the block colours of the flowers, the next layer gave the flower details and the final layer created the shadows. Each layer needed several days to dry before the next one could be added, so as you can imagine, this was a labour of love.
